Accidents and post traumatic stress disorder often go hand-in-hand. Any terrifying and traumatic event can cause it. PTSD is often discussed in relation to crimes or war, but car accidents are also terrifying -- for many people in the United States, nothing that happens to them will ever be more frightening.

The truck dwarfs your car, and you've read all about how the danger is far greater for other drivers when they collide with a semi. You're worried that the driver is going to cause an accident that leaves you with serious, life-changing injuries.

It can be good for a dog bite to bleed

When you're bitten by a dog, one of your first concerns may be stopping the bleeding. Of course, if it's a serious bite, you need to get the bleeding stopped and get medical attention. However, medical experts do note that some bleeding can be good, and they even tell people to encourage it -- sometimes by gently pressing on the area around the bite -- if it isn't bleeding on its own.

In the car, the "three second rule" doesn't pertain to food, but to the distance you keep behind the car in front of you. Three seconds gives you enough time to stop if the car ahead of you crashes or stops quickly.
